Dr. John Holtsclaw earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine before continuing his studies at Indiana University where he earned degrees and was Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. After some years in private practice, Dr. Holtsclaw became interested in the care of those patients affected with diseases of addiction and transitioned to caring for those patients full-time. He is certified in Addiction Medicine and, over the years, has been Medical Director of numerous Medication-Assisted Treatment programs in New Jersey before finding his permanent home at Camden Treatment Associates where he has been the active Medical Director of Camden Treatment Associates for more than 18 years. He is an active member of NJATOD and has been involved in the delivery of mobile care delivery services and currently directs the Opioid Overdose Prevention program for southern New Jersey.
